I got to stop looking over there at Atomic. They have that killer super venter F4 helmet on sale for $169 !!! usually $300. I want one bad, think I'll order one.
Just spreading the love bro. That Atomic Moto has some KILLER deals. They get 90% plus of my apparel biz. Great resource.
I can't decide if I like that or not. I am sure I would on a 90 degree day though. I am so close on clicking the buy it now on a Airoh, could have two of these for that price.
Reports are very good on this helmet and I LOVE the other Klim gear i got from Atomic. Found out Brian who owns / runs Atomic has been in the apparel industry for years. He knows his stuff. I should have one here shortly to snap pix of and do a report.
Thanks Kelly, just ordered mine Now if only I could get it before next weekend's race in Florida.....but I'm too cheap to pay upgraded shipping. Actually, a friend that owns KTMworld (they're a Klim dealer) just told me the pictured helmet is the '08 style. Regardless, it's a good deal. I sweat a ton during a race and I'm hoping this will help.
The only complaints I have heard are that the vents break when hitting limbs. Here we have a lot of over hanging limbs and it is common to hit a few.
I was wondering the very same thing. Although it looks cool and is a killer deal, I hit more limbs than Carter has liver pills when I ride in PA. So I'll be passing on this one.
Hey I was looking at those, but thought two things. What if it rains and does it get extra dirty at the back of your head on very dry dusty days. (okay< I know it is a for a dirt bike, but you know what I mean) If you test it out Kelly could you let us know?
And while you're at it Kelly, how 'bout a nice high-side into a mud hole. I'm visuallizing those vents packed w/ mud. On a related note, last night I ordered a pair of Klim Revolt pants, and a pair of Moab pants from Atomic. For $60 each, couldn't go wrong -and free shipping to boot!
Will report back. I ride where there is a lot of limb smacking as well. Already destroyed my trailtech helmet light mount. We will see. Talk to two friends last night that have this helmet (one dude paid almost $500) and both said they loved the helmet.
hate to say it but........its a little ugly in my mind. all the klim stuff seems to follow form over function which is great but it would be nice if they could get a little flair in there too. so even when you are racing slow you still look good
Two big thumbs up for this helmet! I got mine Friday and left for the Orange State Enduro Saturday. It was 90+ degrees down in Florida and I sweat way less than I did at the other enduros this season and they were in the much cooler South Carolina. The fit is snug. I ordered a large and was uncertain if it would fit because their sizing chart seems off from the other mfg's. (The hat size doesn't seem to match the cm). But it fit well. Funny the comments about grabbing stuff with the vents. Just a mile into the first section I could feel something tickling the back of my neck. One of the louvers had snagged some spanish moss and it was dangling on the back of my neck. Also, I broke one of the louvers. No idea how, but it was broken at the end of the race. I did have one wreck, I guess it could have happened then. It is really a great helmet and this is a great price. I've had at least 5 different brands of helmets and this is equal to Shoei as my favorite. Thanks again for the link Kelly.
Mine just showed up and WOW, what a high quality helmet. Did yours come with a super nice helmet bag, extra visor and a additional insert for bad weather? (for use in rain etc) The helmet looks AWESOME and the helmet bag would be one you would pay $50 for not a sock, a real gear bag. Sweet. Will test it Saturday.
Yeah, mine came with the extra visor, windstopper insert, the nicest helmet bag I've ever gotten with a helmet and a cold weather insert to keep wind off your mouth area.
