Can we install a 390 crank in a 250 case? I'm thinking the center case gaskets are the same? It's another avenue to save a battered case and keep it alive. Just a thought.

The '77 / '81 250, 360, 390, 420 would interchange. I'm not positive but with different gasket sets that are offered maybe The intake size with the reed box may vary. More research is needed. Does anyone have knowledge in swapping cases?

I believe they do up to the '80 390 which has wider stud spacing. I think even the 76 175 has the same outside diameter crankwheels, only the big end pin location for stroke is different.

The crank I purchased has the 390 crankwheels but they call it a 250 crank.

Not yet I need too. I have a 420 cylinder and maybe an extra bottom end.
