Sad to tell you that the TR650 does not exist currently in Wiki. I wonder what it will eventually say. If you were you were to submit the article to wiki, what would you say? I think a picture of the Terra with owner wearing a big grin might suffice
It would probably go along the lines of: Husqvarna Terra 650 (TR650) The sister bike of the Strada, the Husqvarna Terra 650 was an amalgamation of BMW engineering presented in the bastardized 'Husqvarna' trim. Production only ran for a year (2012-13) since the Husqvarna marketing department soon realized that the valve maintenance would dispell people from purchasing this motorcycle and BMW sold the Husqvarna label to KTM to completely wash their hands of this. Being that 'Husqvarna' started out life as a Swedish company 5 centuries ago, but was owned by German company, had Italian fuel injection, a Chinese built motor, Portuguese plastics and was eventually bought by an Austrian company, this bike is most definitely an international love child, birthed by a whore of a manufacturer. Current owners often bicker about being betrayed yet again by BMW, and live a life of denial saying that parts should be readily available if needed. The bike was plagued by the 'MOSS' system from parent company BMW, and often needed burped radiators that left new owners traumatizing online forums with the never ending question "Why is my bike running hot?! lulz j/k btw idk lolwtfbbq omg". Frequent wobbling from the front tire over 70mph was also a gremlin that never was figured out in the short production of this bike. While many owners raved about the power and handling of this machine, it is apparent that they had previously owned KLR650 motorcycles and did not know any better. Some say it is ironic this motorcycle only came in one color, red, being said that this bike was definitely treated like the red headed step child of the BMW company. (Reference needed) Engine size: 650 cc Horsepower: 58 etc... etc...
And some clothes for goodnes sakes! BTW is it grinning or grimacing when adjusting valves. IDK my 2smoke ain't got none
It's Wikipedia, there is supposed to be misinformation! I was thinking of Beretta or Fabrique Nationale.. oops.
The great thing about wikipedia is that instead of pointing out errors, you can just go in and fix them !
Thank you. If people can go do basic edits like that...I know I'd rather spend time to build up the template and features of the article so it looks a bit more like this other motorcycle (purely as an example of stuff you can do in Wikipedia).
I tell you, this is so cool. I never participated in the wiki thing ever. I want to bounce some ideas for content at ya. The BMW involvement. This is one of the Husky TR650 claims to fame. The history part of "that other motorcycle", is a nice part of the wiki, and Husky has an illustrious history, especially in regards to BMW, Rotax, Chinese manufacture, Italian input etc etc etc.I'm not even going to begin to think I know anything about the Husky history. I assume some is already written up to this point. This wiki page will need attention also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Dual-sport_motorcycles, I did not see where I could add anything.
