Made a few phone calls to those in the know after the rumor. Ricky Dietrich off to Europe to ride for husqvarna. Not sure of any other details. Later, Jeff Tasky

this would be sick, i hope it's true too. i've heard him say that he wants to shift focus to MX now, sounded kinda done with the off-road scene. (i must have read an article recently or saw an interview)
Better not tell them that he has been on a Yamaha all season. I think I would be pretty surprised to see Ricky head to Europe, knowing him and a little about him I can't see it being a very good fit, regardless of what bike he rides. Not that he doesn't have tons of talent, but he has gotten a rep of being a little bit of a prima dona. Learning to ride EWC is a big challenge. No American rider has really proved to be at the top level, even Caselli has struggled in his few rides over there. I assume we are talking enduro and not moto.....anyone??
I have it from a very reliable person very close to Rick, that he has signed with Husky for 2012 and is heading to Europe. It is a move that should be great for him and we all hope he can get his career back on track..
I saw or read an interview recently where he said he's accomplished all he hoped to in enduro and wants to tackle moto while he's still young. He said he can go back and compete in enduro later on in life, but did not feel the same about moto.
Go Ricky! I don't care what bike he is on I have been a fan for years. Nice that he will be on a Husky though.
