    A couple of things-
-The ignition was off the bike. What is the orientation of the stator ie. where should the pick-up be located?
    - What is the optimum BTDC meaurement for a WR 400? I would rather have the easiest starting vs more hp.
I did a search on timing and read a bit of it. I have a dial indicator that reads in inches. I think I understand the procedure. it's been 20+ years since I've last done it tho.
    thanks, Pete

I found a manual and see the orientation.

set at 1.5mm-2mm btdc... will work well for 400/430.
closer to 1.5 is maybe a bit easier on engine and starting, also octane too. do you have a motoplat or sem?

I have a Motoplat. Also, does anyone have a wiring diagram? Not sure here to attach the voltage regulator.
