No, not really titanium but sure looks like it.
This are husqvarna-parts.com 4031 Chromoly pegs that have been treated with Caswell's Penetrating Sealant for 24 hrs and baked at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

End result is sealed bare metal with titanium look.

Now that my friend is some coooooooool plating!!!

Caswell's Penetrating Sealant? Never heard of it. Done at the house or did it go out to someone? Sand blasting not needed? Who? Where? How much? Again, very nice.

Did at my shop but you can do it at home. No special equipment needed.
We wire brushed mounted on the grinder and finished it off with 600 grit wet/dry cloth and wiped down with acetone or denatured alchol.
Product says to brush or dip for 10-15 minutes in PSEAL1P PENETRATING SEALER available in pint, quart, gal or 5 gallon quantity. We left the pegs submersed for 24 hrs (we forgot about them), thoroughly let drip dry for another 24 hrs before handling. Wiped with clean paper towel and put in pre-heated oven for thirty minutes.

You can skip the oven if you'd like -

I shudder when I see those footpegs, I have those one my 82-430XC. First kick with my brand new SIDI boots, hit toe on peg and ripped steel toe guard off! Second kick, about tear hole in leather. Not pegs fault I just have a big size 13 foot! Those look very very nice, I took a flap wheel to mine and "tamed" them down a little. Will those now be corrosion resistant?

Yes. We've used this product for years and it is corrosion resistant.
According to manufacture's data sheet the penetrating sealant enters the pores of the metal with a oil solvent then is sealed when solvent evaporates. They remain a little oily for a couple of days then completely dry after that.

Sure beats a 3M pad every few weeks to keep bare metal looking bright.
I'll be trying it on my exhaust pipes in the next few days.

Any idea how this would work on an unfinished two stroke exhaust pipe?

As a matter of fact, I do know.
I liberally coated my pipe with Caswell's twice in a 48 hr period. I baked in oven for 225 degrees for 12 minutes.

I came out looking slightly brownish but alleviated the rusting of bare metal on the bike. I've heat cycled the exhaust by running it on three rides without the hint of oxidation or rusting.
It's been about two months without the need of using a scotch bright pad on the pipe. Time will tell if I need to do it again.
