• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Well not an invasion, but a good showing...

Montogb1 showed up on his new CR125 and had 2 good motos for 2nd overall in 30+ beginner. He might have some helmet cam footage but I am not sure if he mashed the right buttons... He was wearing the camera though. Speedkills also came out on his new CR125, it was his first MX race ever, and I think his 2nd time on an mx track. He also finished well.

It had rained off and on all day and was raining when I showed up, the track was still in awesome shape. I fully expected a mud race but it ended up being a beautiful evening. I got an extra lap in both motos because the flagger couldn't see me or something... The first moto I didn't even realize it until my friend asked me why I rode an extra lap... The second moto I really watched and I got the white flag twice so I did not stop until the checkers...

A couple Photo's...

Are the races a fixed number of laps or timed event of a specific number of minutes? The latter can complicate the flagging ... I was at a small race last week and it was the latter style race .... I only got the checkered flag ...

Nice pics video ... that dirt looks almost perfect!

That is a good question Ray, I will ask next time I race there. It looks like it might get rained out this week and I will be in California for my first old timer National the week after that.
