@ 90 race hours decided to freshen up the power with a new top end using the MX insert and power parts head.

Cylinder was in great shape even after all the WOT flogging I've put it through.

Started right up first try. Has a deeper baritone note to the idle now! Decided to try the MX insert instead of the Enduro insert. I'm hoping to add more low end grunt. Also installed the red power valve spring and a map switch. Should be a legit fire breathing dragon now. I'll post up a ride report later.

Ok first if they sell me a husky and all my parts are ktm i would sell the pumpkin.
I would of thought the mx insert has less compression to rev faster as thats what mx is about, enduro is down low grunty.

Let us know im keen to hear if these inserts work.

^i consulted the Husky rep before purchase. It's the opposite MX insert provides more bottom end power (for hole shots and torque out of corners) and enduro insert gives more power up top.

Only thing that wasn't easy was installing the clips on the piston wrist pin. No tangs on the clip to grab. I would go with a Vertex piston next time for that reason alone. But yes compared to a 4T top end it was a piece of cake!

someone sells tanged wrist pin clips---I think Jeff Slavens has them. Ive never used them but they look super easy to use with a needlenose plier to squeeze them

Round circlips are tough, especially when ya don't wanna mess of the perfect finish on your piston. Interested with hearing the results.

The wosner pistons dont come with a chink out of the piston to allow purchase so i use a dremal and create my own circlip removal slot.

The best way ive found so far is a scriber point and a small flat blade screwdriver get the clip away from the groove and hook the screwdriver in behind to pull it out further so frustrating.

What base gaskets did you use? I have 5 in the top end kit I got, doing my research to figure out what stock uses. I'm interested in your report, I was thinking about the same mod.

Stock .4+.2 mm. I went with the same set up. Hesitant to drop it down to .4mm as I couldn't find any info on what the compression ratio becomes using the MX insert. Don't want to have to use race gas. Stock compression listed as 12.8:1.

Is this the same for a TC250? after I posted my question I realized you are on a 300.

    Thanks again for the help!!
