Hello All, having a tail light problem and need some help please. I switched out the stock cans for a GPR single made for the BMW XCountry 650. Bike runs great, but when I got back from my test run I had burnt off the stock left turn signal - DUMB ASS - I know! Ordered and installed a pair of close fitting Drag Specialties 2020-1429 DOT-Compliant Rear Turn Signals which have standard 1156A amber incandescent bulbs. When ignition only is on, all four turn signals work just fine, BUT, when I start the motor, the new rear turn signal will only flash once and then go dark - and the front turn signals go into rapid flash mode. The 1156 is larger than stock bulb for maybe a resistance difference? Would LED bulbs in the rear signals solve this problem? As you can tell I am not electrically adept.
