Howdy, I'm leaning towards a TR650 Husky based on the research I've done on here and the rest of reviews. In the central Alabama area, there's only one Husky dealer. I'm wondering what I should expect to pay for a new TR650 (cash price, not financing)? Given that there's only one dealer, I half expect they'll quote me MSRP. Just looking for insight before I walk into the dealership. Thanks for any help, Mike
Odd, none of the text made it into the message, here it is again: I think I've decided to get a TR650 based on what I've read in this forum and others. There's only one Husky dealer in Alabama (my state) so I'm almost expecting the dealer to quote me MSRP ($6999). Just wondering what I should expect. Does anyone pay less than MSRP on these bikes? Thanks, Mike
I paid $6,299 for my Strada. I think that lots of people paid under MSRP for their bikes. I know there was a manufacturer rebate back in the spring, not sure if it still applies. --Chris
most Strada owners paid less than MSRP, it was a slower seller with more incentives. paying MSRP is not a bad thing with this bike - you'll have to do battle with the dealer on added fees, but if the bike has been on the floor for a while, he should be happy to get by with around $100 in doc fees.
I paid MSRP for my Terra in May and haven't regretted it for a minute. My dealer has sold a few since then but is out of them and doesn't have any idea if or when he'll have any more. Honestly, if I had the cash I'd buy another one for MSRP.
Years from now we will all look back and wish we'd picked up a couple extra Stradas for later on...that's a damn bargain IMHO...a lot of bike for 6k...I've spend more on wheels/tires and bad beer.
I may be wrong but PJ's in ABQ has them at a great price - 1K less than I paid for mine there last December. I'm guessing in the $5,900.00 price range. That's a great price for a great bike.
I see Bill's in Salem, OR still has Stradas for sale $700 under MSRP...no dealer fees or anything. They're due for some fresh Terras (the ones badged as 2014) tomorrow for MSRP.
There are more Stradas on the way to dealers now....Terras will still be hard to get and deals will be rarer. From my perspective, this size bike makes more sense as a Strada anyway...you get ABS and cast wheels and a lower price....riding a bike this heavy on anything gnarlier than dirt roads is just not something I do so I see no advantage to the Terra....that 21" front wheel isnt going to make it into a trail ready bike.
FWIW I was quoted in the $6500 range for a Strada from the Birmingham Al dealer a few months back. That was "out the door" so to speak as I would be doing the taxes & reg in Florida. I know of another Strada that was purchaced from them around the same figures. That is about $1000 off MSRP on the Strada. They of course did not have any Terras at that time.
Eurosport Asheville NC has new Terra's for 6k...these are listed as 2014 . I am quite there are some fees on top of this but that's a pretty good starting point. And I can tell you they are a very supportive dealer.".yes they have the Moss & know how to use it! There good guys!
