Been working with Trailtech (they are right down the road) on all sorts of things. One is a light for the huskys. They have been struggling getting the product out and being perfectionist about it. I finally got my hands on a HID X2 headlight to fitup tot he 610 and also the TXC. Last night i installed in on my 610 and made notes of mounting stuff and wiring needed. We will be offering husky specific applications soon. Anyway it is a VERY cool headlight and OMG it is a flamethrower. The difference over stock is ridiculous. The down side is it is not DOT approved nor will it be in the near future. So if you need to run one on the street you do so at your own risk. It is almost to bright for that. I rode around last night with just the spot 2" on and it was more than enough. With the flood 4" on at the same time it turns night into day. Would be great for back roads night rides. Testing continues...

the Polisport I ordered seems to be on back order. Are these available to everyone now? Do you know what the cost is for us non-industry folks?

I don't think they have stock yet, you can call them. I think the Halogen one is around $90 and the Flamethrower HID is about $290. They are working on husky graphics for the headlight shell for me as well.

If it has a quick detach option it might work for the 24hours/Baja 1000 crew. Sure looks kewl. Is it rugged enough for off road racing?

    Is the halogen version DOT?

Any idea how much it weighs? Is the HID ballast/ignitor remotely mounted?

Is the lense glass? If plastic can it take the heat of a 100watt bulb?

    Cable routing issues?

    So many questions!

    Looks very cool.

They need a version with a taller mini-fairing for the D/S winter riders. Just an idea.

    - It is quick release.
    - I'll weigh it soon. It's not light (nice pun) but it does have all the ballasts and stuff built in.
    - Plastic lens
    - Integral cable guide and smooth rear cover (I'll shoot some pix)
    - No DOT on any of it.

How about a hybrid, with a H4 halogen 35watt 4" 'wide' beam running light for the street, and a second switch for HID 2" narrow beam off road?

Ive tried running an HID at night on the street, its a cop stopper.

With a hybrid you have the best light color, significant weight savings, durability, cost savings, etc. but best of all its 'streetable'

Just some ideas for ya. :)

Oh wow Kelly, what a sharp looking light!!!
    This is really cool
I two would like a bit of a taller fairing version for hwy use
Maybe integrate some orange LED’s on the sides for indicators (I know its kinda moot point since it’s not DOT but still…) something for you guys to look in to? :)
I love it, of course you know what color I would like it in…;)

Right now i have it wired to the stock switch with the ability to turn them on and off as needed. Geoff, the owner of TT told me the 2 inch narrow beam was good for street and the 4" and 2" for off road. He has a nice ride area right out the back of his house and night rides tons. I need to hook up with him. He is a KTM guy but when i dropped the TXC450 and 610 off for a few days he was really impressed with them. Anyway, might do a little more testing tonight.

they make a great DOT halogen version now, clipped beam for oncoming traffic. Been using it on my DS bike, works GREAT.

Looks in the photos that the White plastic is different between the Guard and the Light Fairing? Is this just the photos, or is it really like that? Or more particularly, does it look OK?

I'm toying with the idea of upgrading my 610 lighting, to a 630 model light/fairing/front guard kit.

Perhaps the 'better' option is to go as shown with a SM style guard and Light as shown?
