Rod Spry is currently rebuilding the motor on my 390 and I was chatting to him about it a while back. He said that to get the gearbox back in and for it to shift correctly you have to put it into one of the gears before putting it all back together. It must not be in neutral, but I cannot recall which gear it should be in. Does anyone of the other forum members know which gear it should be in before reassembly?

You could always give Rod a call and ask him. His mobile number is 07738 112589. I am sure he would be helpful.
