Does anyone know if they will not work if just one bulb is out? Anyway, headlight and brights work, bike runs, just no turn signals. Did a little washing and thought maybe I got something wet. Checked fuses and they were all OK. Took air and a hair dryer to areas in the rear of the bike to see if that would help.

I just had the turn signals on my truck act up (click fast as if a bulb was out) but it turned out to just be a bad connection in the rear bulb socket panel. I hit it with WD 40 and took a small brush to it and then re-inserted the bulb that wasn't lighting and voila....back in business.

Well, worse case I'll stop by George's and see if he'll get me started on finding the problem.

If one bulb is out then one side will blink fast but I would double-check that. I was using LED turn signals.

I looked and all bulbs seem to be OK. I'll check on the flasher relay over at George's.

Who knows, it may work in the morning or after a ride. Horn works.

    Thanks for the replies.

I had that problem a couple of months ago. Right after I washed my bike. Some members of TT had the same problem...mostly after washing.
It seems most problems were in the handlebar switch but not all.
If I remember some got warranty on their Speedo unit.
I haven't washed my bike in some time and my signals just packed it in a week a go. Haven’t had time to trace wiring yet.
Keep us informed if you could...

I usually go for a ride to air things out after a wash job on the bike. License plates are a good thing.

    Ya good idea Coffee

Of all the bike I've owned.... never, ever have I had to bag my bike before a wash... LOL.

A baggie over the speedo... a baggie of theTPS...a baggie over the exhaust... a baggie over the signal switch...well the exhaust ok maybe...:o

When you think about it...it's pretty funny!!!:D

We get far too many plastic grocery bags in our lives... put one over speedo with rubber band to hold it, 1 stuffed into exhaust pipe. Wash bike, ride to grocery store, etc and back... never had any problem at all. Even when I ride it to the car wash and use a high pressure wand on it and back home again.

Plenty of grease left when servicing the bearings. It is probably because the recipe for "mud" is water & dirt - and if there is enough water around here for mud they seem to close the trails to avoid beating up the trails. We have not and any rain for many months.

I use a hefty bag over the handlebars and headlight and I always go for a ride after to air it out and dry the brakes. This time my ride may have been pretty short though.

I just checked out each light to make sure the connections were solid. Now the turn signal will light each side and cancel but no flashy. Think I'm not going to worry about this for a while. It will probably start working next time I ride it for any length of time. If not I've got it narrowed down I think to the control on the handlebar. I took that slightly apart and blew it out.

mine will do the exact same thing every time I wash it.. It has corrected instelf after riding without fail everytime.

I'm surprised that no one else covers their air cleaner when washing their bike??? I ususally wrap a thin grocery plastic bag around the back, top and sides during washing.

Gently massaged the flasher under the left side near the battery and now I have flashing. Definitely sprayed some water in there when I removed the battery and filter and blocked the air cleaner hole to clean. Next time I'll know.
