Pic of CARB document posted on KTM Talk, show two new models..... TE150 replaces the TE125 and an additional model, the TX300.
I'm hoping that the TE150 will have estart. I think it will, as it's new KTM sister bike is a KTM 150XC-W. This bike is replacing the estart 200XC-W.
I'm guessing the TX300 will be like the KTM 300XC.... No lights, close ratio gearbox, suspension more for XC racing and some MX cross over.

Will these 150s be non-homologated bikes or did they decide to just make these Euro4 compliant over there and dump both the 125 and 200 to make one engine pass?

Note I am doing the educated "guess" here
like Norm said a TX300 will be a KTM XC set up. A GNCC/XC/HS machine.

TC250 gearbox (or maybe the TE 6 speed?), 18in rear wheel, no lights, new MX plastic (all 17s should have the new design plastics including TE models), SX/XC ignition, comes with TC MX tires not FIM rubber.

Isn't the TE gearbox perfect already? That would be the perfect race bike if they built it like that Robert.

just following the KTM set up trend XC-W is the enduro 6speed the XC/SX is the 5 speed MX box. I really have no data to support this TX theory....just using the educated WAG to conclude what a TX300 will be. Whatever set up it will be good, BTW an instant response to the YZ250X competition wrapped in Husky brand from the KTM mothership.

Id say Robert is right and it will be a white 300XC..... the TE is a 300XCW

Although a 6 speed Close Ratio would be cool....

Non-homolgated as far as I know. UK (and the rest of Europe) will get its first XC-W (non-homologated EXC) in a 125XC-W. The UK might get a 150XC-W too, as they've had the 200EXC in the past. Not all EU countries get the 200EXC.

No '17 Husky or KTM 125 2T bikes are available in the '16 Spanish ISDE rental program, as they are non-homologated. The 150's (144cc) are not eligible for E1/C1 or E2/C2 classes, even if they were homologated

There was some talk on UK forum, that the Husky non-homologated 125 2T would be called a TX instead of TE. TE designation for 150 in US market seems to contradict that. But on the other hand Husky has not made the distinction in the US market with model designations, that KTM does... EXC being street legal and XC-W being the off road version.

Some surprise that the TE150 isn't generating a little more interest here? This will be an awesome bike, as the totally stock '16 KTM 150SX I rode last year worked amazingly well in the enduro trail section I rode it on. A woods version and then if they add estart... It will be a very nice machine! :oldman:

It probably has a lot to do with the parent companies tight lipped policy until the bikes actually show up at a dealer meeting. Which is understandable from an event and publicity point of view but it is hard to get all pumped up for a lot of features you want and have them be pushed down the road a year. I am more than a little excited for the new model just trying to hold back on my enthusiasm until we see the actual details.
