Two Top Husky Riders for Roof of Africa

This year we will not see the Red and white Huskies on the Roof of Africa ridden by the top Husky riders who have entered. There 2014 bikes were flown in and they have two weeks to set them up and get cracking-- I am hoping local boy -Altus De Wet will do well as he won the Enduro championship here on his 310 this year -- The other rider I heard is Jarvis -- some interesting times ahead . The bikes will also be launched to the public here on the Roof of Africa --

Oh, that's interesting. I hadn't heard whether or not Jarvis was going to ride Husqvarna next year for sure or not.

There is an extreme event here on Saturday called Wildwood Rock, Graham Jarvis is racing it, he won it two years ago.
That race will be the Husaberg race teams last event. From here Jarvis goes to the Roof of Africa where he will be riding a white KTM that looks like a Berg, but has Husqvarna stickers on it.

Yes the bikes are here and Altus is setting his up -- quite a bit on his face book page

Hook, line, and sinker ... These guys know how to race bikes to get them in the publics' view .. Good luck to De Wt and Jarvis if he is in deed the rider...

Last night they allowed the public here in South Africa to the viewing of Graham Jarvis and local boy Altus de Wets bikes that they will be racing the roof on ---Quite a stirr was caused --Altus no2 and Jarvis GJ --

It is strange --De Wet won the enduro championship a 4 stroke 310 this year in SA --Thought he would be on a four stroke and Jarvis on a two stroke

Marking the final Hard Enduro of 2013, the Roof of Africa will see Graham Jarvis compete on a Husqvarna FE 250. It what will be the Brit’s first race on Husqvarna machinery, Jarvis is also shaking things up by switching to four-stroke machinery for the event. Having contested Husaberg FE 250 two-stroke throughout the season, his switch to four-stroke machinery will come as a surprise to many. What was the Sherco 4t he rode before he joined Husaberg? I figure it was probably a 250, but I can't remember.

I saw a pic from Alfredo Gomez today and he is on a Husky 4t also. I am going to a take a wild guess and say that it was all they could get their hands on. For races like this the local importer arranges the bikes with the KTM. Obviously there is not a huge selection of new Husky's floating around. So take what you can get.
