    TE* can't edit title!

I thought I made up my mind that I would be going for a Tx300 today, but I am just not sure. Most of the riding that I do is tight technical single track, occasionally some desert riding. I have done a few endurance races and I'd like to do more of those and some hare scrambles too. I plan to keep my 13.5 CR165, which is a great bike for the technical stuff. I am just not sure what I should do...

I like the fact that the TX is lighter in weight, but I wonder if the motor of the TE is a better choice. Thoughts?

    Exactly where I'm at.....

rode a TX and loved it.. mostly amazed by the forks and bike felt amazing.... not a huge fan of C/R gearbox but to be honest with the power it was never an issue.... and I would do a spring conversion to front....

TE I like but then you gotta deal with a whole different crap of 4CS... I like the low first.... afraid that 4cs is another expensive revalve and never very good....

Well, until someone gets their hands on one around here, it's hard to say that the new fork will just be as bad as the old one. They did address some of the issues and maybe, just maybe it will be better. I do know that I would not want those air forks, and I'm sure the spring conversion ain't that cheap.

Go for a TE. Done a few races on mine now and a few trail rides. The xplor forks are good too, had no bottoming out at this weekends race. A big improvement on the 4cs. image.jpeg

Did you have a chance to ride the TX to compare? I am just really torn, I got to check out a TX, but not ride it and the forks seemed surprisingly plush just from pushing on them. I heard that even if the air bag blows, it would still be ridable and supposedly it is over engineered, so that won't happen. I might just go for the TX, since I already have a low speed technical woods bike...

Yeah I had a very brief go on a TX and it is a great bike. I was very close to buying one when it first came out. But I decided to wait for the new TE as it is a more versatile bike and suits my requirements better for the riding I do.
The TX is aimed at split mx& close course enduro. If I did a lot more mx it would have been the bike for me
