    Hi all,
I am not sure were to start to fix my issue. I picked up a 2008 TXC450 & have issues with it starting to run bad after about 20 min. I had some issues with the carb over flow draining while bike was on kickstand. It also didn't idle well. I pulled the carb adjusted float and cleaned carb. Fuel over flow fixed but still didn't run smooth. I put the JD jet kit in and Bike runs great for the first twenty minutes then it starts sputtering. I pulled carb again and cleaned it, no dirt carb was clean. Today bike fired right up ran great for twenty minutes then just died. Got it started after it sat for 15 minutes got about 1/2 mile before it died again. I am pretty sure it is an electrical issue but not sure if I replace coil or electronic device. Please Help I need to ride.

Could be electrical, or perhaps your gas cap isn't venting properly. Next time it happens, open the gas cap & see if it makes a difference.

Thank you for the tip. The vent cap does not have anything blocking it, tube and cap are clear.

I have tried everything carbureter on my 2008 TXC450 and still sputtering after running it for 20 minutes. Might have to take it to the dealer and maybe put it on the Dyno and see if they can figure it out. What a pain. Have the JD Jet kit in it, 175 main 3rd notch on the clip, 140 pilot jet, o ring on the accelerator pump, adjustable fuel screw.

I have a 2004 TC450. I had almost the same exact problem as you. Mine started out the same as you after a ride of about 30 minutes it died on me and started up after about 15 minutes. Then it would only run for about 10 minutes and die and fire up after about 15 minutes, just enough to get me home. When cold it would fire right off until it warmed up and died.

I replaced the stator and it has ran perfect after that. Could be your problem.

yea sounds to me like you have a heat related electrical problem likely the stator
