Though more than just a rumor, it is unclear if Mr. Husky himself has made a solid decision to race Husky's this year. Ty and Husqvarna may have shared their differences, one thing that is clear is that Ty sure loves his Husky's and they do happen to be the best bikes in the world. I for one fully support Ty's decision, and though I may be the only face out in the crowd holding up the "Go Ty!" banner, I doubt I am the only face in the crowd with the "Go Husky!" banner.
I have met Ty at the Tennessee Knockout and he was very polite and helpful. I have a lot of respect for him and I hate he lost the deal with Husqvarna, but I support him no matter what he races. The fact that he still rides a Husqvarna makes me respect him even more and if he races one I will love it!
He looks pretty good on Yamahas as well lately. Hope to see Ty on a 310R for his single track racing (read-Tecate type stuff)
Ty and crew are good peeps and I for sure would love to see him continue on the Husky. Hope they iron out there issues and move on.
There has been no real Husky present in Racing out west {Home of the new corporate offices} since Husky and Ty split Even with the best contingency program out there Husky sighting at the races are few.Maybe Husky should reconsider and return to the development program, the advancement of a Racing and development program would see more Husky out at the track and more important the winner circle. Just think how many more sales could be had if people saw the bike out front.Yes we are seeing more in the magazines but it takes marketing to get the bike off the page and into the dirt. Maybe a AMA Hall Of Fame rider would surley get some market coverage
Well, y'all say Ty's a nice guy, but he tried to run me over when I was spectating; he decided to create a new line right where I was standing with my head up my .... so I think he's a big meanie (Or maybe I'm an idiot for standing too close to the course )
It's possible the deal ended with no animosity. Maybe it just didn't work for Ty from a business perspective. They make some cool stuff and I'd love to see that continue as well as see Ty on a Husky.
well there were persistent rumors of Ty suing Husky so I don't think it ended well. The story of how it ended was ugly as well.
Ty was supposed to race this weekend @ Lucerne Valley, Calif., but complications in scheduling has made this too complicated. Litigation is ongoing and a word on that. Here in America, our business ethics are quite different than of those over in Italy. I mean seriously, who ships a product with a little magic plug in device that makes the product perform as expected, yet voids all warranties?
People whom sell plated bikes you could race. I hope Ty goes big with his personal husky effort despite this issue with husky. Might just make him feel good. I am not anti HNA at all but seems they wronged him (I could be way off base as i know little about this) and for him to go "fine I'll win on a husky without you" might be some retribution for him. Regardless of all the politics I do hope he stays on husky and does VERY well.
I love my Husky as do most of us. HNA has been very good to me, a huge thank you to Wyatt as well as my two other personal friends who work for Husqvarna and I am extremely thankful for Dave (HVUK) and all of his efforts for us here at CH. And regardless of the usual politics bs, I proudly support my racing friends, Ty as well as Malcolm and Alexander.
