While performing a canisterectomy on my Strada, I noticed that the rear of the motor has an unused bracket just aft and below the valve cover. Is this a remnant of the engines use in BMW bikes?

Dang, I saw that when I removed my cannister too however, I mistook it as the Cappuccino machine mount? Silly me.
