Well I got my 610 back this evening with the Uptite Power-up kit installed. Was dark and 24 degrees this evening when I got home.. So only rode around the yard, but the bike did have QUITE a bit more punch. Hopefully, I will be able to ride more this weekend weather permitting. Two things: 1) the idle has now jumped to 2000 rpm... Is this due to the O2 sensor removal forcing the race map??? 2) I also had my 600mi service done. The change oil icon is still showing on the dash. I guess the dealer forgot to reset it... Disconnected the battery for two hours to no avail.. Can anyone tell me how to reset it??? Finally, if my idle should be set down, could someone provide a better pic or description of where the idle screw is... The one in the manual is not that clear... Thanks, Mike...

I don't have a 610 but I do have an 08 TE 250. The idle screw is (sitting on the bike) on the right, just between the cover for the Throttle (says Mikuni on the black plastic) and the shock adjuster. It's got a phillips head on it and is all by itself, but you can see that it's pointed back into the area between the airfilter and the airbox leading into the engine. Says turn counter clockwise to reduce idle. Mine idles close around 1500-1600 when warm, around 2000 when cold with the red button out. Not sure how that would apply to a 610.
Thanks Xymotic, that thumper talk thread is great... Did the trick for the oil icon... Bike is now idling at 1800... Maybe I should give it a chance to adapt to the new map.. It also took a ride for two hours at 70mph in 20 degree weather on the back of my truck... I will let it warm up in the garage tonight and see how the idle is tomorrow.. Mike...
LOL, Somebody told me, you'll pay it forward someday Course, it should be in the damned manual but that a whole nuther thread
I installed the Uptite power-up kit several months ago and the difference was impressive to say the least. Once you get to do some real riding you'll be amazed. I wonder how I tolerated the bike before the kit! My idle also jumped to ~2000. Called George and he said this is typical. The idle set/adjust screw is on the left side. Look in owner's manual for exact location. Will need a 8mm wrench. I turned mine down to 1600 rpm Good luck
Well, you get the kit from Uptite Husky... Google Uptite Husky for his address... The kit costs $450. It replaces the muffler and removes the lambda (O2) sensor from the bike... The O2 sensor plug is capped and a resistor is plugged into the harness under the tank to trick the onboard computer that the bike still has it installed.. If not, you will get a flashing neutral light... A check engine light in husky parlance. The O2 sensor removal supposedly forces teh ECU (on board computer) to default to the racing map... That plus the pipe probably yeilds another 6-8 HP at the crank as per some of the seat of the pants dynos around here.. So you will end up with about a 60HP bike... If I missed something or got something wrong, please chime in.... Mike...
As far as I know, Husky makes no power-up kit for the 610 as they do other models... This kit is similar to what Husky offers on other models... Yeah, it is Uptite's own muffler... I think he made the O2 sensor plugin as well, but I am not 100% sure of that... Mike....
And with a remapping of the fuel injection it also eliminates the decel popping too. One of the best mods you can do.
