Oh I don't know, $4.5 - $5.5k? Husqvarnas are not known for their great resale value, but plated dirt bikes hold their value fairly well in California. And there are all sorts of things for sale used cheap on craigs list.

I believe yours has the key with makes it more practical for errands in the city.

The economy still points to a buyers market...and a little early in the year for all the yearly bike buyers \ riders to come out in force ...

Just had a low mileage 08 Te450 with Cycras and Hyde bash pan that brought us $4750. No extended warranty but that's selling on a dealer's floor with 4 months remaining of the factory warranty.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do. In the SF bay area, it will be prime riding season off road in about 2 weeks, which is much different than other parts of the world.

If you want to sell the bike I would just go ahead and put it up for sale on here, craigslist, other local forums, etc.

I thought you had just bought the bike and you may have been getting input as to how good of a deal you got.

Yep, when the weather is good for riding, many get 'bike fever' and gotta have a bike to ride for the up-coming year...I was selling some of mine last year and I got the impression that there are a lot of bikes changing hands but pricing was down due to economy in WA area. This was true with my Harley as well as my dirt bikes...Everyone wanted it but nobody wanted to pay for it...

CL gets a lot of exposure and selling it will depend on UR price and how low you will go. And this of course depends on how bad you need the money. Lots out there are looking for these 'must sell' cases to pick up a bike cheap. Maybe a local dealer can help also...

That power-up kit sounds like a good addition to attract buyers or might can be sold separately..

So let me get this right...you just bought a 2008 TE 450 because it was a great deal, but now that you found out that they have a poor resale value, you want to sell it before you've even ridden it!?!? That makes no sense. It's a good bike...ride it till the wheels fall off.

I didn't know that Huskys had a poor resale value, but if I had that wouldn't have stopped me from purchasing my TE450. I'm very glad that I bought one instead of a KTMEXC, even though that would sell really well if I needed to sell it. When I needed some money a while back, I put up a 06 KX250, a 03 KDX220 and a 05 EXC250. Which one do you think got snapped up immediately without any haggling, while the other two didn't even get any inquiries?

Are there some good riding ares in the Bay area open to the public?
Last winter I took a couple of bikes to the Death Valley area to get a "fix", and met some people from central Ca. I would like to go back down this winter, but it's a long way to DV, Jawbone ETC.

No... there is a little ohv park in the Livermore area but some people are trying to shut it down, 1/26 is the next decision on that.

However I really like Stonyford which is about 4 hours north of here, you may also find it interesting.

Carnegie, metcalf and hollister are all good ohv areas in the bay area. unfortunately they are being bombarded with lawsuit's by some annoying environmentalists so come ride them while you still can!!!
