    hi people ....husky rev heads
I think a few of us trying to convert our te511 or te449 to a motard are having difficulty with converting the OE smr 511 wheels and 4 spot calipers to our bikes
im stuck with bolting up the calipers so I can measure the required offset required to machine the hubs as they are offset.
im at a stand still where im trying to complete this mod with CHEAPEST and EASIEST option, which is sourcing a adaptor for the 4 spot caliper...
Can anyone help me out with one or put me in the right direction.
    anyway ...
ANY parts suppliers that do a adaptor.. please post details
just to mention to others.... that next task is to machine the hub and get a brake line made to suit with the correct angels..

i don't think anyone is making them at the moment. I know you said cheapest, but the easiest is to go with a beringer axial setup. you can score the calipers for around 300-500...worth every penny.

If you had the 50mm marzocchi forks I'd have some radial mount fork bottoms spare soon... Like Kumz said, beringer axial brake setup is the go if you have some $$.

Exactly right. The reason there seems to be some issue converting the TC/TE 449/511 is because of the difference in offset of the brake rotors. The SMR comes with an offset rotor while the offroad versions are flat. So if you're converting an offroad bike to supermoto, you need to use wheels brakes meant for the offroad bike- Beringer is top notch and well worth it. I helped Kumz get a Beringer Top Race Kit on his TE511 and it fit well with the stock forks and Alpina wheels.

    thanks guys very helpful.
the wheels on the te511 pictured are sm pros and have the standard te511 brembo brakes..
    there not the smr wheels
will the beringer caliper bolt upto a te511 offset...im thinking it will
and another question will the speedo still bolt up or what mod would be required.

here is a pic of my setup. works with the alpinas, stock SMR wheels (grey hubs), and polished hub wheels. You can run the stock master cyl with the 4 piston caliper. Not the best feel, but works ok. I recommend getting a bro 10 for the 4 pot in the long run. Sometimes they pop up for cheap. You can still run the speedo cable, but need a beringer magnet to go into the button. Beringer makes a cast iron rotor, and steel one. Cast iron is much more expensive, but the best out there. Zero brake fade. Shoot JR a pm for pricing. Id sell my setup (Bro 12, 6 piston caliper, rotor) for $700. Converting my bike back to a TE :)

You'll have issues running OEM SMR449/511 wheels as the hubs are different to <2010 model SMR hubs. Aftermarket wheels for husky's run less offset on the brake disc so appear to fit the TE's without issue when using a flat brake rotor.

The 449/511 hubs space the brake rotor mating surface out 4.5mm(ish) and run flat 'Braking' rotors whereas the 450/510 hubs run 4.5mm offset brake discs. Aftermarket hubs such as the Warp9, Alpina/Kite hubs use the dimensions from the 450/510 hubs. The 450/510 hubs SHOULD work with the beringer or other zero offset disc because the triple clamps on the TE/TC are 195mm as opposed to the 205mm the SMR runs, re. 5mm thinner on each side which negates the need for an offset rotor.
