  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Warp 9 supermoto wheels for an 09 te510?

Has anyone had any experience with these wheel sets? I'm looking to have a quick swap setup that I can run on my te510 during the summer to go play in the twisties near my house.

Some things I noticed about warp 9 is that it is considerably cheaper (about 1/2), they come fully assembled (minus tires) and with a 320mm rotor already mounted.

What I would like to know is:
- What is the quality of the wheels, are they going to break on me?
- Has anyone tried them or dealt with warp 9?
- How do they fit?
- Can you use the stock caliper with a 320mm rotor?

I will be riding it fairly hard, but I wont be doing any big jumps. This is going to be a street setup that I can rip the backroads on.

Thanks for any help.

The warp 9 website lists a set for 2000 - current husqvarnas (excluding 2 strokes).

The wheels come with a brake caliper relocator, and it claims that no other hardware is needed for this set. Im not sure if that means you can use your stock caliper with the relocator and the 320mm disc.

One more question is can you fit a 17 x 5 inch rear wheel on an 09 te510 or would it be better to get the 17 x 4.25?

Thanks for the input

5" rear fit's no problem. Get the 5" so you can run 160 sized tires. Warp9 are decent quality and won't break but they are heavy.

The guys at warp9 are great! I have dealt with them and been nothin but helpful on the random things I've needed. I'll be ordering a set of husky wheels as soon as I sell my rmz!
The price is not 2k for a set. You can get a standard set of wheels (17x3.5 front, 17x4.25 rear) for $918 per set. The options on their site list black wheels with either silver or red hubs. That includes front 320 rotor/adapter, rear rotor and sprocket. If you're looking for a different color rim, hub, or a 17x5 rear rim, give them a call directly. They will gladly do what they can for ya! 801-699-7979
