So Jake and i got together for a little after work thrashing around. Fun little local trail system. I actually was on a GasGas250 I rode to decide if I wanted to buy it. I forced Jake to bring his MX bike, 2010 TC250. Glad he did, what a fantastic off road bike. So fun to ring it's neck and the handling is second to none. Feels like a 125 with a powerful motor (for a 125 ) Anyway you can tell from Jake giggling (I was too) that we were having a blast. Right at the end of the trail i catch the brake (no hand guards) on a tree, and lock up the front end. Even on the ground i was having a blast. Riding, there is nothing else quite like it. Jake on the GG and me on his TC250 Enjoy... http://jmetteer.smugmug.com/Motorcy...RAILS/18816958_DHQnpT#1457717281_BCbbhjq-A-LB
Some rides are just goofy, this was one of them. I found myself laughing in my helmet a bunch on that ride. Only Kelly can show up on a ride where the majority of bikes are Husky's and bring a GasGas... Husky is just too main stream now. Later,
I don't even have to have the brake get applied to fall down. I only need to tag something and over I go.
Cool, I'll work on crashing yours again then. BTW saw PC's suspension at Promotion. Maybe it will be EZer to crash it with big boy springs.
I wish we had woods to ride in...all we have is sand and the bodies of people killed by drug lords to ride on...
Somehow repeatedly crashing jakes CR convinced me to buy one?? Way more fun to go downhills on than my WR250, but much harder to go UP hills
I crashed Shane's bike on a long downhill at Gifford last year. It effortlessly slid down the hill and was light as a feather when I finally got down there to pick it up. I knew I had to have one after that! For skinny-boy Jake, maybe. It'll probably feel like Bubba's supercross suspension to him and plush as a Cadillac to me
Kelly, Your damper has actually saved my ass several times when snagging branches and the occasional trunk! I was expecting to get flung but instead the bike just wiggles a little bit and keeps on track. Amazing. FYI, it's nice to see that you crash, too! (and can laugh while doing it!)
Nice trails and great riding skills !!! I had my first "Get Off" last weekend on the TE 250. As soon as I get the time to figure out how to post the vid I will. Ha Ha, so I ride a 60 mile DS ride every weekend and try to do it in less than 2hrs. I was riding within my skills, but pushed it a little for the Vid. The Crash happened going up a real steep fire road (loose dust on hard pack, some ruts, rocks, to get traction) on the 900 mile old Karoos. I went wide to what I thought was a small berm, leaned into it and blipped the throttle, only to find out it was a pile of dust... Did a 195 on the pegs, Ha Ha, stopped the bike then gravity won ..... Laughing as I went down. Ouch for me not the bike.
Yeah it is pretty rough here, those trails are 8 miles from my house and two friends have trails from their back yards that tie into the trail system. We usually only ride them in the winter when all the high stuff is closed from snow. It was nice riding them in decent conditions. Later,
Jake and I always push each other. Were similar speeds so it is fun chasing each other around. Was goon riding at it's best that day. FUN
