All 2st Water pump seal?

That is supposed to be Rotella T coming out.

I ordered the seal and gaskets on Friday and decided to take it apart today. First I had a heck of a time getting the side cover off. It was hanging up on the power valve shaft thingamabob. I read that the impeller comes off with a pair of pliers with reverse threads. After breakin off 3 blades on the impeller , I got it off.

Wow! That looks like white paint.

It had the consistency of white paint also.

I hate that shit!! Think it's a good idea, until it all goes wrong....Then it's like why did I use that advice

Well, I swapped out the seal and installed the new impellar. I'm at a weekend ride and have coolant in the oil again. Did I screw it up or is there another place for coolant to get in the transmission?

Doh! The o ring was missing. I know I put it on there. I got an o ring from a chain master li k from another rider and it dit perfect and no more coolant in the oil. Now if I would have checked it before I packed up my tent. Weekend is saved.

Man, that's a freeky chain of events.
