Cody was stoked about the Leo Vince exhaust on the TC 250 and asked me if he could ride the bike today at the track. So off we went, I even left his beloved KTM 150SX at the house. I rode my new KTM 200 XC-W, and Cody rode the 2010 TC 250 with the carb upgrade and Leo Vince. I changed the needle position to clip #6 as suggested by Scott R and tweaked the fuel screw a bit and the thing will start in 2 or 3 kicks under all conditions.

I think my TC 250 has been adopted. Cody absolutely screamed on the bike. He was seconds faster on his favorite practice track than previously clocked times on the 150 SX. What was amazing to me was the fact that he was not afraid to try all the expert jumps after only a few laps. His confidence level was obviously high. He commented about how easy it was to make the bike take the line he wanted without really trying hard.

Looks like I lost my TC. Can't wait to see him race it. Hopefully, we'll soon have a KTM 150 SX for sale :cheers:

I hate I missed you guys. It would have been nice to see a a Husky on the track laying down the law. Sounds like the TC gave Code a good dose of confidence.

Bob, it was a great time today. The weather was perfect. The trails were perfect. The tracks were perfect. Awesome day.

I've given up waiting on a factory Husky 150 or 200. But rest assured, if one becomes available, the pumpkin will be history.

Glad the kid liked the Husky. I'm interested in trying out one of the new 250F's one of these days.

Every time I ride one, I am prepared to be amazed, but I'm always disappointed. It never feels like a 125 on steroids, but a pipey 250. My '00 WR250 was a better bike in many ways. I'm not Orange bashing here, just the way I see it. The guys who own them for the most part like them, though a few went to 250F's and are happier. I do know one guy who has one, who after riding my '09 WR125, wished he had the Husky.

What about Bob? Well there must be a good reason 95% of the bikes I've seen at the GNCC's and the NEPG's are orange. Guess I need to ride a 200xc-w to find out. Like Krieg said, if Husqvarna sold a 150-200, I would be on one now. Just don't know what I would do with me red pants, helmet, jersey....

    Yea, my 100th post!

    NO! NO! NO!
YOU WANT A GAS GAS 200!!
NOT THE KTM! THE GAS GAS!!
DAMMIT CAN'T ANYONE GET IT RIGHT!!

I actually almost bought an 09 ktm 200 but that motor is so fat and bulky around the pegs I new that would bug me. Both my gasser 300 and the 08 125 are nice svelt in the middle. If your gonna ride a 200 until husky comes out with one .... Get the gasser!!! There is a plague of orange in the woods already .....

Not Gas Gas bashing but.....if you think its hard to find aftermarket support for the Husky try a Gas Gas. And resale is ah....NEVER MIND.

Use the resale to your advantage ...
buy one a year or two old, best deal in dirtbiking.

I've never been a big purveyor of aftermarket bling, skid plate and bark busters and a scotts sharkfin, thats about it. They already come with an fmf silencer. Haven't had any real problems getting bits for my 300. but it certainly isn't as extensive as ktm or the jap bikes when it comes to aftermarket goodies, I'll give you that.

I know they are great bikes. I wouldnt mind owning one but I like to buy things that will be fairly easy to sale if i get tired of it.

Hmm? Saint Gerald at Upstate Cycles sales and rides a GAS GAS. Now I'm getting real confused.

My memory of the '07 GG 300 I rode was ecstatic. One of the best handling, feeling, woods bike I've ever ridden.
