They are 45mm Showas from an older model Husqvarna. Fully adjustable, for comp, rebound and preload. Any clues? My guess is a 1990s Husky but which one? Any info and a pointer to a manual or technical details would be a big help. I am looking at adapting them up to my Cagiva Elefant. Bottom triple clamp that came with them is the same one used on the 900 Elefant from about 92 to 96. I am not sure if the crappy blue paint job on the clamp is original!
Weird. Thanks. They showed up when i previewed the post, disappeared when I submitted it. Anyhoo... what are those forks?
You had the picture in your cache so they showed up for you. I fixed your first post. What I did was copy/paste the link you posted into a browser window, a flicker page came up which contained things other than the picture itself - which will cause the img tags not to work. I right clicked on the image, selected view image, that brought up just the picture itself, and I put that link in between the img tags.
Tough....we want to talk about posting photos. Your next lesson will cover resizing for avatars. Next week's lesson will be out in front of the student center (under the maple tree) and will cover how to post photos as links to suggested vendors.
Oh well, maybe we'll never know where the forks came from ... main thing is where they're going, which is "on my bike"! I suspect they came from a TE610 of the early to mid 1990s. Just throwing that out there as an idea so someone can come and correct me!
Husky used 45 mm showas from 1992 to 1994, but only the 1993 & 1994 have the externally adjustable preload on the top. Hope this helps.
As he said.........92 to 94.........all models.......only way yo tell is 92 white fork protectors.......93 yellow......94 a puky light blue like the coclor of your triple clamp..which was NOT stock.....was bare aluminum. I have lots of parts for them and they are yours for the cost of potage if you need em. They are sitting for years.......I did use one fork leg to go over a stock lamp shaft tube to make a sweet Huswvarna lamp though..........was when I had WAYAAAy to much time Joe
Hey guys, thanks for the info. They seem like a pretty good fork - the stock 45mm Showas on the Elefant were a real bare-basics job without any adjustment and inadequate damping. These Husky ones will slide straight into the same clamps. Spin up some spacers on the lathe and we are in serious business. Joe where are you located? Sure I'd take those parts but I'm the UK - are you?
UK...........postage on free stuf would be sick and lots of paperwork..........anything in particular you need?
I am pretty sure that a 1990 Suzuki RMX 250 used those forks as well if you need to find seals/bushings.
