Sounds like a marriage made in heaven. BMW’s variant is expected to have premium technology and features while the TVS’ counterpart is expected to cater to the affordable segment positioned above the Apache. The agreement opens up new avenues for both the manufacturers. BMW is not currently present in sub-500cc while TVS has no presence beyond the 180cc segment as of now. TVS is investing 20 million Euros in India while BMW is not forthcoming on the investment plans. Seems these guys are ~pertty big players also ..Their blue Husky is not listed on the web site for sale so maybe it is a ringer for the race team currently ... I forget now for sure but the pics of their blue Husky was in 2010 maybe ... Maybe 009? Anyway, bmw has had this in the works for a while ... Well before their sell of the company. Apparently they have the rights to the designs? Ktm gave all this up to them? Not sure on the dirt bike market over there and what bikes they ride, but this looks like a deal that could work well ... And I'll say good luck but I don't really think any success or failure on their part will ever effect my Huskies directly ... But you never know ....
