I have the OEM exhaust, rear grab handles, seat foam, and mirrors from my 630 SMS. Selling the bike and the buyer doesn't want any of it - I'd planned on just giving it away with the bike in case he ever wanted to return it to stock.

Thought about selling it online, but really, from what I can tell nobody ever likes keeping the exhaust, and nobody has much use for spare OEM seat foam - if they do anything to the seat they mod it with gel or something aftermarket.

The mirrors aren't an issue - already had a couple offers for those - but the grab handles are a different story. If the new owner doesn't want them...I dunno, do they even fit a TE maybe?

    Thoughts?

While nobody uses the stuff now, stock parts are valuable to those restoring or keeping a bike long term. The most value in cars and bikes is pristine stock machines. A very well set up bike may be close and even though performance may suffer, box stock holds more value. Hard to tell you what to do as I have all the take off parts from an Audi TT, Ducati and my Husky. Anyone who wrecks or is holding long term may want the stuff as may be unobtainable in years to come.

I got in touch with the owner before the PO i bought my TE630 from. He still had the stock exhaust and I paid to ship them across the country. He did not want anything for them except shipping cost (still $70 bucks!). I keep all stock parts for 2 reasons.
    1) I live in california and am waiting for the day they start smog checks on motorcycles. stock parts back on....
    2) when I purchase a bike i like to get all the pieces that came off so I if I mod the bike I can either use factory or make it look factory.

When I sell a bike all parts go with.

As for resale of OEM. There are buyers out depending on the part but they are far and few between. Ditch them anyway you can. Put them up for free + shipping either here or on advrider.

Put it on Ebay! It might not be sold fast, but as time goes one the demand for OEM spare parts increases. The factory still has to support the 630 series for 6-7 years. But after they will make less and less parts.

Just came across this post. I'm in the north bay and need exhaust heat guards. Let me know if you'd sell them.

Sorry, it's all gone except the mirrors - buyer ended up taking it. Rather than him flying up from LA and riding back down I just drove everything down to him (and picked up an FZ09 on the way back!).
