I put in new wheel bearings on the rear wheel of my 2011 TE 250 and they don't look right. the right one seems too far in and the left look too far out. Thoughts, suggestions?

The bearings bottom out in the hub, however the seals shoud just be installed flush with the outer edge of the hub. There should be a gap between the seal and the bearing.

What rancher said, yeah, I can't even see the seal on the brake side, it should be out flush with the hub flange.

The brake side seal is flush with the hub although it is hard to see in the picture. My concern is that the spacer is right against the seal on that side and the other side there is a gap. Should the spacer be right up against the seal or should there be a gap...I remember it having a bit of a gap when I took it apart.

This is how it works on my bikes:
The aluminum spacer should fit inside the seal slightly... That is what 'seals' the bearings from dirt. (The seal is what cuts the grooves in the aluminum spacer also, with the help of dirt). But on my bike, the spacer does not fit inside the seal to the degree as on brake side in your pic above... Not sure if that is different from my bike or not. Looks like something is out of whack back there but maybe these yr models are different from my 08 and 010 models ..

Is your chain tracking straight between the sprockets? Will the wheel turn easily with the wheel off the ground? No slack back there if you grab the tire/rim and correct?

The axle and all the stuff between the SA has got to fit somewhat ~perfectly or something will probably get ground up pretty quickly.... The SA could even get bent from the axle nut when tightening if any of the dimensions of the parts\bearings are incorrect back there.

Where did the bearings and seals come from? And you can always compare the new bearings \ seals to the old ones ...

EDIT: This might be meaningless, but your axle has a few more threads showing past the nut than any of my bikes ... meaning your SA arms might be squeezed together due to some of the parts (bearings, spacers) not being the correct lengths.

My sprocket side looks just like yours, my brake side looks different than yours.

There are 3 bearings in the rear wheel I think, at least there is in mine. Did you put 2 bearings on the sprocket side and 1 on the brake side?

Did you put the spacer back in the middle of the hub?

I have about 1/4 inch of space between flange of spacer and side of hub left side and 1/8 right. Is it possible spacers got swapped?

    The spacers are the same.

I put the spacer back in and have two bearings on the sprocket side and one on the other side. I checked them against the old ones and they were the same. I am going to pull it apart in the morning and see If i can figure out whats going on. Thanks for the info!
