I'm shopping for spare wheels, specifically an 18" rear for my '08 CR125. What years fit what bikes? I know there is a lot of overlap, but how far back can I go? Will an 18" from an '01 TC 410 fit? (Just happened to find one for sale).

I would almost be positive that they will have different size axles so you will have problems making it work in your swing arm.

the 2 stroke and 4 stroke offset is different, I tried a wr 250 wheel on my 510 and it was off about 3/8".

Rear axle size is the same but the offset (hub width) is different on the 00-01 wheels by aprox 3 mm

An easy way to tell is look at your 2008 CR hub where the sprocket mounts. If it is the new style you can tell that it has a spacer molded in there. I think this was done when the new frame was designed they needed a different offset. If it has a little 3mm ridge then you have the newer four stroke frame wheels. At least this is what I think.
