Who likes g2 throttle

I was thinking of getting a g2 throttle but which one. I am okay with the stock pull but i never tried anything else. I think the quick turn will be too twitchy in the N.E. with all the rocks. Anyone use the 200 ring. Is the twist a little longer than stock.

I have the G2 throttle cam fitted to my bike. The stock one(cam100) is the most extreme, with the cam200 being less so

I am not clear on what you are trying to accomplish. Are you trying to smooth out the power at initial throttle? The G2 website has several videos that you can watch that explain the product and options well. You may have already looked at them. I can see mellowing out the throttle response on a 450 plus four stroke, but wouldn't think that the 310 needed it. I am wondering if a gearing change or tuning of the FI might accomplish what you are looking for?

I was really looking at the stock G2 throttle for a smoother twist. When in rocky sections i squease the grip and the throttle is not so smooth. Then just wondering about the 200 ring. Your right i dont need to smooth it out. I like the throttle response the way it is now. Thanks

In that case you might like the G2 with the stock cam (100). The delrin bushings are supposed to work very well--smooth, very little resistance. I am considering the G2 for my 300 2 stroke, but would likely use the "mellower" 200 cam for a less aggressive throttle opening.

"The G2 Throttle Cam System" has 3 cams included, I believe you can benifit from a milder cam and this way you have all the options. This is a very high quality product and i believe you will like it.

I used it on my kx250. #400 for the mud rides and #200 everywhere else. The #400 really slows down the first half of the throttle. Great product.

i put the quick turn on my smr, i like it but when i tried 14-48 gearing the bike was 'twitchy' as you said. also the delrin bushing was too tight so it wasn't used

I just ordered the G2 Throttle cam system. I'm thinking the 200 cam should be good for rocky and tight trails. Now you have me nerve-is about the delrin bushing.

i ran the 100 for a while in both mx and off road...I now use the 200 exclusively. Way better for me and the 510.

It seems to work fine without it, it's notlike it's flopping all over the place

I use the 300 cam on my txc450 for most stuff around here. It's real smooth. Every now and again, I'll put on the 100 cam, but I usually regret it.

No problems with the delrin bushing on my bike. Nice and smooth twisting.

Is anyone using the G2 throttle on there 250 or 310 four stroke.

I have the G2 quick turn on both my 250's(07 TE, 09 TXC).

Very happy with them. They help make them a bit more snappy & reduce the amount of throttle turn to a more proper level. Much nicer in the single track etc.

The Delrin Bushing was way too tight on my 09 TXC, due to the handle bar not being completely smooth & round - you couldn't even get the throttle tube on the bar. So I filed & sanded the bar until I had a good smooth fit. It was a bit of a pain & took probably an hour, but it works good now.

I'm confused. I was thinking the 200 cam, You like the quick turn G2 for tight single track trails. Your the second person with that problem. I guess i will find out when i get it but i like your solution.

I also have the G2 quick turn and love it on a small bore bike for it's quicker response to get the front wheel over obstacles. The 2009 250's/310's and older are tame off the bottom compared to the 2010 250's and the Quick Turn helps.

You like the quick turn in rocky tight single track trails. That what i mostly ride in.

Agree with JPinNC, I could see wanting the quality of the G2 throttle tube, but you probably are ok with the 100 cam on your 310.
I have an 08 te450 and use the 400 cam, most low end modulation, it really helped with the very tight st here in the NC mtns. My bike's FI has been messed with to work better, but I was still having pop/stall in very tight st with the stock throttle pull. Part of this was the bike and the other was me, really learning to use the clutch. If I need the power, it's always there with a 450, even with a slightly longer pull.
Biggest help with all of this was getting a ktm 200 and really learning the clutch. Still, have a 200 cam on that. 200 doesn't have huge power, but you get on the pipe, the wheel is coming up and having more modulation allows me to deal with the really techy stuff.
Obviously people have ridden for years without these things. You can learn to ride whatever, the G2 system just allows you to fine tune and probably helps the lesser experienced riders (me) to get more comfortable in less time. Another plus is the buffer you get when you have the accidental whiskey throttle, the 450 will send you in the trees before you even know it.

I really started just wanting the tube for the delrin bushings. Then too many options. I orded them monday and can not wait untill they come in. I probably will end up with the 100 but want to try the 200. You don't know untill you try. I see anything bigger than a 200 is for a bigger bore bike.
