It was an awesome course. Very unique and different. Asphalt, mx, woods, endurocross.. I was well in to my first lap and suddenly the bike was LOUD! My silencer fell off!!! Both bolts were gone. Nuts must have vibrated loose. I was so bummed as I was really enjoying myself. Finished up 8th for the year in B Vet tho so Im super stoked just to be doing this racing. Im already excited for next season haha
I did. Someone coming thru after I had stopped yelled "its right back there...brraaappp!" haha so I guess he must have known exactly why I was wandering along the trail. Silencer was intact. I will just pay more attention to stuff like that in the future. I usually go over most fasteners, bolts, etc.
Think i saw your silencer lol. Was it all the way in the back, opposite the side that the track is on? Looked like it was a 125 silencer. I got 6th b vet by the way. # 527.
Yep haha that was mine. When you passed it, it was probably half covered in dirt lol. I slowed down way slow and let everyone pass by. Tried to stay out of the way at that point, as my only goal was to just complete the lap before I parked the bike. I didnt want to screw something up by running it wide open. Good job on your finish!
I see you finished 4th for the year. Good stuff. Will you be attending the banquet? I would like to go but Im kind of thinkin it might be lame for an 8th place guy to show up haha.
Show up It's not lame at all for a 8th placer to go. Go just to stare at the new bikes, check out vendors, the auction, hang w ppl that ride. Great atmosphere. If you go my name is Randy. If you live close enough we'll do some riding.
Yes the silencer was covered about half way. It was on the edge of the beaten path. Wouldn't have made great traction so i avoided it. Lol
Haha thanks Name's Kurt. I am near Hershey. I know alot of the st clair area trails. Im also considering joining blue diamond for mx practice and I hear they also have a little supermoto track.
Kurt, Not sure if you know that if you did not finish four races, your not in an ECEA club, or did not pay the "no club" fee at the begining of the year, you are not eligable for official year end points. You get filtered out. Next guy in line that meets criteria gets your place award. Happened to me last year, got bumped out of 3rd BSSR, so paid this year and can get award for 2nd. I would not go last year and watch someone else get what I earned, just uncomfortable. I understand the club philosophy but for many time is limited so thats why they came up with the no club option. Just an FYI brfore you buy a ticket.
Ive finished more than four races. I still need to have paid the noclub fee as well, huh? This blows. I am a bit dishearheartened to hear it NOW. I will be joining a club for next year. Ive already planned for that. Not planning on this year's banquet anymore, though.
Yeah, when you renewed your number you had the option to pay an extra $35(I think) if you wanted to compete for year end points and not join a club. If you look at the Mototally results, a "NOCLUB" in the rider's club field shows that this was done. Don't think you could pay now either. My buddy is in the same spot. Was unemployed in the winter/spring so just got a number figuring he'd be lucky to race much at all. Ended up getting work, new bike, and kicking some butt up to 3rd in class. But, he is invisible to the ECEA.
This is my first race season. I joined ECEA at the Valley Forge HS and got my number/joined then. My number is 299..so..?
The 4 digit numbers are usually used for "day" or temp numbers for that event. Riders can choose any number not already taken for a permanent number. There is no relation to club status.
SO you paid the $30 for the number? If I read the rules right a No Club Membership is an additional $35.
Yep thats what happened I guess. I was not informed at sign up about being a non member. Wouldve been nice to know
