Why Does My 2007 Te 510 Have This Installed And Is It Causing Heating Issues

    That little brass thing needs a vacuum cap on it to keep it from sucking air. It used to be hooked up to smog stuff, just like on my bike, before it was all removed. Just go to an auto parts store and buy a little pack of vacuum caps.

    This is what I did many years ago. Pull the fitting out and get a stainless bolt that is the same length. I put loctite on the threads and it has been good for 11 years.

    I'd expect that to be a significant air leak, and that you'd notice a nice improvement in running quality once plugged.
