has 15 miles on it and gave it a good flogging after an oil change last night. halls did the power up kit, no 02 sensor plugged in

ran it at the track and its a dog, you just give it full gas and you have to wait for the rpms to climb, i weigh 190 and wheelies with engine power or arm pulling are out of the question. my old 06 kx250f would blow the doors off this thing

besides the lack of power im hooked on huskys, corners like a champ, goes through mud holes straight and true.

    :confused::confused::confused:

    Boy what a loaded question?

Has it always been like this? Something is wrong. Does it idle?

    Bad fuel? Vacuum leak?

How close is Halls, maybe give Jeff a call tomorrow on this one.

    He's a pretty nice guy.

It depends on what kind of riding you are going to be doing and for sure it's not a motocross bike! What the heck were you thinking? You should have gotten a TC 250. I'll trade you my 08 TE 450 for it...plenty of power!

nah, im pretty good with basic mechanics, all the lines are solid and fuel is fresh. bike idles perfect and runs smoothly but it just climbs rpms really slow.

right now i unplugged the battery and hooked up the 02 sensor and will give it a start tomm.

i dont ride motorcross style, lots of tight stuff and some short straighaways. i just wanted the headlight and the 6 speed of the te version, i dont believe the map and motor are different between the 2 version but i could be wrong

i'll give halls a call tomm and find out whats going on.

i heat cycle'd it when i first got it and changed the oil twice already. race motors in automotive applications get put on the dyno right after there built.

the warranty i dont care about since i live 8 hours from the closest dealer

i popped the cover on cable box near the EFI and it looked normal. stops at the body of the throttle body.

is there a restrictor in the grip area??

    thanks

Yep...Give Jeff a shout at Halls..he is a great help

having said that...these motors do have more flywheel that the jap bikes for sure....

I cant speak for the TE but my TC rips pretty good....but its a bit slower in Rev climb than a RMZ I rode recently....but does have a meatier torque curve...

hipsterdufus, i just sold a 2004 crf250r not too long ago that i modded for really tight nasty trails in hawaii, and it is faster than my 08 te250 for most segments. but like fitness and troy stated, it isn't a motocross bike and the flywheel is fairly heavy. i personally like the heavier fly wheel so i can lug her around. i don't get as tired or worn out on the te250 because its sprung softer and is more forgiving. so it may not be as fast but i don't need to take as many water breaks! it sounds like you've got some work to do. good luck and hope that hall's fixes it, also curious on the outcome.

A KX250F is going to be quite a bit stronger than a TE250. Thats just the way it is. A TXC250 would have been a better choice for you as they are quite a bit snottier than the TEs.

did you read and understand the thread that Coffee suggested?? From your first answer it seemed like by quickly looking at it maybe you didn't really see how the throttle stop works...

theres no throttle stop on mine, that metal plate is easy to spot.

lets see if the 02 helps any, maybe installing the power up kit before the bike ever got started has something to do with it

let me do some flywheel research to try to find a lighter one, that was one of our ideas yesterday on why it revs so slowly. so weird since they call it a enduro bike, enduro means obstacle jumping in some cases.

husaberg prices are out of this world, lets do a big bore kit/flywheel

Enduro usually refers to a dirtbike with a plate or in other words a DS bike.

In case you did not know the bikes develop more power in the first few hundred miles, at least my 2006 TE250 did and several others had the same opinion. Based on everything I've been told the efi bikes are the same way, or even more so.

If it were me I'd wait to talk to Halls before doing anything.
