I saw pictures on line of a TC 125 and I was wondering if they will import them here ? Or will it be just for the European market ?

Thanks LoM that's something I would like to ride to see how they compare to my WR 150. I love my WR and have no plans on getting a new one this year. But down the road may be another story if they are anything like my bike. The TC 125 looks nice from what I saw of it.

I've ridden several KTM 125's, good bikes and strong motor. Like how the husky feels and turns better but both good.

Will there be any street legal bikes? Ktm marks all theirs with off road use only. And husky did not so one was able to plate them.

Possibly in '15.... There is also a difference between 'Street Legal", as in Factory Dual Sport and being able to slip a bike under the radar. In the Northeast KTM products ability to be registered vary by State.... In NY if I buy a KTM or Husaberg (and soon white Husky) from a NY dealer, the MSO says off road use only and I can't street register it. I bought my Husaberg from a dealer in PA and the MSO had no "off road use only" restriction on it. I had no trouble street registering in NY, as there seems to be no "List" of forbidden bikes, like NJ. New England is pretty much the same, but some States require a visual inspection for DOT equipment before registering the bike. Italian Huskys seem to fall into a gap in NJ and are easy to street register, but I'm sure the Austrian Husky VIN's will be on the same restricted list, as KTM's and Husabergs now.

that was the case for a long time here in the NW as well. Unfortunately they got smart tot hat and started sending "your plate is invalid" to all those who got a plate. IMHO if you want a plated bike you should get one that is factory plated so you don't have issues down the rode. There was an endless thread on TT about this and many pissed off plated KTM guys with invalid plates.

In the North East, this cat and mouse game will play out until the bitter end. We don't have the vast opportunities for casual riding on public land, that you have in the North West. Here if you want to put some mileage on riding single track, it's going to be... Enduros, Turkey Runs and Dual Sports. All these events except some closed course Enduros, require street plates.

The pendulum swing back to 2T bikes, has made the 4T Street Legal DS bike less popular here too. We'll just see what the future brings.

The bikes are totally different, offerings which previously existed are no longer of any significance.

The 144 kit was for the Husky (Italian) 125cc 2-stroke engine. The 125cc engine in the 2014+ bikes (the Austrian/KTM bikes) has absolutely nothing in common with this engine. There is no cross-compatibility of parts, and the Husky factory 144 kit won't fit on this bike any better than a LS1 cam would.

KTM has a factory 150 2-stroke model, which is achieved by a bore and stroke on the 125. This is a way more difficult (as far as retrofit) and expensive method than the Husky 144/165 method (bore only).
