Just finished summer with my first Husky, 08 TE-510. 2000 miles with 75 hours on the clock for Michigan trail riding. I am only three years into DS riding and hit 50 in January. I am an intermediate rider 6'1" @ 210 lbs. Have added a larger tank, bark busters, Uptite Skid Plate, -610 Rear Rack, but still have not added the PU kit, observations so far:

Would like to raise the bars based on my height.
    About how much?

Looking to increase front spring rate as too much dive IMO, especially im Michigan sand, even with compression screws turned in.

Just ordered a Garmin 60CSx, what is a good reliabel GPS mount?

Am I on the right track? appreciate input/feedback/other suggestions to get me ready for Season II with the TE.

    Raising bars

I am only 5'10", but I raise the bar on almost any bike. Currently I am 1 full inch above stock, this makes standing much more comfortable. At 6'1", I'd say you're very safe going that far, maybe 1 1/8. Can't help on the other questions.

I have the 60CSx and mount it to my 610 with a Ram mount from Toura-tech. I like it, i also used their wiring kit to hardwire it to the battery. It pops on and off very easy, i would buy it again, my only complaint is that the cradel holds the unit just a little too loose and it will rub and wear on the case while bouncing offroad, i simply wrap a zip-tie tightly around it so it can't wiggle and haven't had any issues.
