Any suggestions on a good training schedule for the winter months to come out of the gate this spring with a good 1 1/2hours of endurance:

This is currently my excercise schedule:

30mins on an eliptical 3x week.

10mins on Situps and Crunches every other work out.

10mins on Squats every other work out.

15 mins on benching, butterflies, shoulders, curls every other work out.

    Diet:

    Breakfast - Banana/fiber bar/coffee

    Lunch- Salad/Pop (Can't Drink Diet)

    Dinner- Regular Meal/Water

    Open for any suggestions

    Carbide Studded Winter Tires

Winter riding is the best training and best fun. You havent lived until you tackle a hill in 10'' of snow you couldn't climb in the summer. Take a look at www.werproducts.net we have a complete line of carbide studs in a variety of heights (low height for mix of pavement/trail or full aggressive for deep snow/trail). prep a tire in 1 hour; no special tools needed.

Ummm, you left out cleaning stalls.

I do the winter riding too, plus a bunch of other stuff.

Strap on the cross-country skis and do some skiing and tele-marking.... 10 miles on a Saturday morning followed by another 10 on Sunday will have you in amazing shape.....wife or GF will appreciate the hard toned look and that will in turn lead to more excercise... can't go wrong here....:D:D:D

Well, I'm sure she did, but in all fairness, her eyesight isn't what it used to be....

Here's an idea I'd try if it weren't for my location.

You know I was thinking recently how sorry I was for you folk in the northern hemisphere. Winter comes and the bikes are consigned to the shed. But heck you have wonderful snow sports, can stud your tyres, even saw an adeptation for your bikes with snow mobile type apperartus. Now here in Australia the heat is 30 to 40 (C) and its getting too bloody hot and dusty to ride. Sure I can go surfing but its not my thing. So you lucky so and so's enjoy your winter and look forward to the thaw.

    Cool pics, 2wheels.

Debating still if I want to stud up this year or not....still have everything from last year, just lazy and the garage is almost below freezing already. Wish I worked as a DOT mechanic I'd be able to afford Trelly's.

forgot where I read about that one,had dick burleson bike go overseas to test out the modified husky for use in the armed forces,he said in the article he didnt like the way it handled, but they had him run around the field in the snow and had a nice ice berm they wanted him to fly into, what they didnt tell him was the first guy who tried crashed very badly, anyway DB came into the corner very hot and leaned into the berm onto the ski and blew apart the berm to the astonishment of the engineers came out on one wheel!!
