http://www.westernharescrambles.com/tracks.php?ID=51 http://www.riverdaleraceway.com/ Toutle, Wa this weekend !! Cmon PNW crew, get out and race/ride or just report and snap photos, meet and greet the local guys that ride Huskys Kevin R and Kevin U!!
Ill be making the trek up north to represent the Husky brotherin. Im tied for 1st in the western hare scrambles championship A-Vet aboard a 09 txc450. I here the worcs boys are very fast, but Ill do my best.
Snohomish, Wa native.....Ricky D will race the MX Nat in Penn. and fly out to Wash for the Sun WORCS race I am a fan of Rick as he is one of the approachable and easy going top pros ,,, so he rides green what the heck,,,maybe he will be tired from the MX and travel the Husky boys can push up to the front.
Any news???? I like that Bondo won and love that Mike Brown podiumed again!!! Husky news?? Davis did well in Vet Pro,,,Rookstool down in the standings. KevU??? what machine??
Bondo won on a last lap stall from Brownie who lead most of the race. He was running in the back of the leaders pack most of the race and put on a late race charge to the front. Rookstool was looking GREAT! Was in 2nd place when he stalled in the sand and the bike wouldn't restart. The bike eventually started and he got back to the pits to replace the bad stator, he finished a couple laps down. Deitrich rides like a crazy man and crashed too many times. It would have been nice to see him do better at the home track. I was there for the pro race only and took a bunch of pictures. I still have more to process when I get home tonight, here are some favorites so far. Rookstool test start after the sight in lap. Husky shows it's strength on the start. Local guy Rory Sullivan on the Husaberg. Later,
Also Kevin Urquhart was seen walking around in street clothes during the event, not sure what the story is there. He also raced a Honda at the last round of the NMA series at Burnt ridge... Later,
Thanks,,,those photos are great!!! Dietrich does ride in a posessed manner, super fast but very gnarley style, not too smooth. That course looks like a dream course,,,looks super cool! looks like the old guy (Davis) finishes best for Husky. Glad to hear Rookstool was a front runner, at the season start I had money the 2 Kevins, now it looks down to 1 Kevin,,,Looking forward to the next Wa round!! Thanks again for the foto post!!
Did anyone notice,,,,Bondo wins on a Yamaha,,,,he has been on a CRF so far this season, The beauty of a private owned team, maybe Bonds feels better on the YZF, maybe a better contingency/sponsor package,,,,maybe he is just flat out faster on the YZF??? So they gave him a blue bike to ride? I love racing.
A few video's Ben shot... Youtube video of Rookstool... 1st lap leaders coming through... Lets play the put the picture with the video... click the picture to see a short clip. If you pause it you can find me risking life and limb to get the shot... Later,
I got smoked in the 30 A class, those WORCS guys are on a different level!!! My bike was not setup correctly for the more moto oriented cicuit with the big jumps and sand woops but honestly if my bike was set up perfect I still wouldnt have cracked the top 5. I ended up ninth and took over the points lead in the Western Hare Scrambles, mision accomplished, Ill train harder and be better prepared in August. I got to talk with the Team Husky boys for a while, they were all real cool and the bikes were absolutly beutifull. Ill post some pics when my sister emails them to me. Nate
More pictures... Bondo's day almost ended here with a couple laps to go... Look out for that tree... Do you think he squeezes the bike much? Ricky D and Damon Huffman Mike Brown contemplating his last lap mishap Rookstool post race The rest of the photo's can be found here... Later,
