i was poking around for a different piston for my wxe 260 because the stock one is 400$$ from halls!!! wossner has a 71.44 mm oversized piston for an older husqvarna that looks like it will fit the wxe...Any thoughts..

there is more to a piston than size
wrist pin size and height skirt length, dome vs flat top
check a little harder and if it works that's a winner

yah i studied the picture. From what it looks like its the same. The only thing i will have to check is wrist pin size and location. I was just making sure they were any good before i looked into them thanks. when i need a new one i will let you guys know because it would be nice for those that have a 260 and dont want to pay the 400$ piston for one

I ran wossner forged piston 2.nd time on my wr 250, no problems (mx, enduro, supermoto applications)- around 130 euros for piston and rings!

Not so sure of their fitment chart
The 87 cr and wr use different
Pistons and as far as I know there is no 88 cr250
Get all the info and compare it with yours

no it wont fit you need to bore your sleeve out to 70mm as they will supply you a 69.4mm pistion thats .1 mm clearance it will seize. no matter how much lube you use
a rebore if its already sleeved shouldnt be much, or find one that will fit a 96.5mm bore

when you look at the sleeve where does it end on the bottom, how does it relate to the o-ring?
I would measure a little more accurately before assuming anything
fyi it was originally a nikasil bore

yah it doesnt appear to be nikasil. How can i tell for sure. The sleeve is a lot thicker than the one that came with it. It has a vertex/cagiva piston in it and piston measures right under 70mm so I think it will fit. I will order it and let you guys no if it will fit but from the pictures it looks like it will

theres .6 thou in it its not much, a resleeve will be a different colour to the rest of the barrel a darker grey ans be around 3-4mm thick you will see it has been chamfered in around port edges and should be shiny on those cuts.
