Hi! I bought a WR 125 a while ago to my son as we no longer wanted a pumpkin in our garden=). We also wanted more power, and we got it! Just of curiousity i would like to know how much power these bikes deliver. we have a HGS system and the TMXX from my 300 on it now, and the chy16-62 needle in leanest clip, 450 main. What could this give powerwise?

    Johnny,

Go back in the archives. GSXR1000 put my RM needle on his dyno /09 WR 125, I think it picked up another couple hp from Stock bog settings. This was with WR ignition on it.

If your clip is in leanest pos try going down on pilot till you land in mid clip. Did you put 5 slide in and set your reeds on low? You can get little more on bottom/throttle response with RB mods down the road.

I bet with the new TMXX carb I just built, I am up around 4-5 hp over the stock carb. I have a couple more things to do inside the engine and my 144 should eat/exceed a 200.

Good luck, go have some fun!

On a machine with 35 or so HP I highly doubt a carb will give 4-5 HP gain....My 02 125CR with FBF complete top end with Lammy's Cylinder pumped out a crazy 37 HP...after we put the big bore on it with a 38 carb it only went up 2 HP but it was more rideable....

Ok. I use the 4 slide that is standard in the 300, so therefore i use leanest clip to lean out the richer throttle slide a bit. Runs clean but i will check the reeds soon=). One thing that bothers me is that it revs up much at coldstart. revs goes down as soon as it heats up, but i don,t like the high revving when cold=(:

to be honest on small bores I turn the choke off as some as I can keep it running and warm it up with the throttle....
