    sorry ...continued..:

    1 ) from my reading... it doesn't have a spark arrestor ?

if true where can 1 be found? I assume the same would work for a CR125 whatever that would be...

    2) so the tank is smaller ? 1.6 verses 1.8 ?... How many miles average could you get ?

    3) were there any 08 WR 125's imported ?

I just bought one and several others here have them. Going to be a funtastic little machine.

    1. Nothing right now but FMF should have one soon. maybe a European company makes one?

    2. not completely sure but reports are not good at 22-40 miles.

    3. I believe so.

    Only '08 CR125's imported. A friend (Bill502 on CH), just got a killer deal on a new leftover '07 WR125. Tanks keep getting smaller on WR125.... '02, 2.9 gal; '06-'07, 2.5 gal; '09, 1.8 gal.:banghead:

So it looks like the 07 WR 125 or 07/08 CR 125 is a pretty good option... so you think they would get at least 50- 60 miles out of a tank?

Norm... would the 07 WR 125 come with a Spark arrester ?

on a related note my dealer (MotoTech in Boise) has a 06 CR 125 for 2995 with 1 hour on it... would a spark arrester be hard to find for that....

I told my wife I went into this wanting to ride the WR300 just to see what it was all about... I have no experience with 2 strokes and I'm shocked that I enjoyed that 125.....

Buy the 2006 bike and never look back.I have both a 2006 and a 2008 CR 125 .The only reason i got the 2008 was so as to collect my Husky bucks for winning the AMA National Hare and Hound # 1 plate for 50 a class.I rode the 2006 in all the races but the last 2.The 2006 is still out there winning races and now leads the Nationals in the 125 expert class with my son racing it.BUT we receive no Husky Bucks since it is a 2006 .It has been raced for 4 years and the only thing we did was a FMF fatty pipe with turbine core spark arrestor and Fast By Ferricci suspention Jetting is STOCK and works great .There are a few differences between the bikes but nothing worth paying any extra money for If that bike was local i would be buying it as a extra bike

So is 50 -60 miles out of that bike (2006 CR125) a good estimate ?

Also looking to trail ride it so i'm assuming at WR 125(kickstand of the same year) would work ?

FMF has a Turbinecore II spark arrestor muffler application for the 2008 and earlier CR125s. Hopefully coming soon for the 2009s. I'm not sure the WR sidestand will fit the CR--I think there is a tab welded to the frame that the CR doesn't have. Stop near trees...

Do you use the CR125 with 19" rear wheel or swap to a 18" wheel?
    Just curious...

I still use the 19 inch wheel with a maxius heavy dudy tire and tube
In 4 years of desert racing NO REAR FLAT just one front flat. The 19 inch wheels is much lighter and will use less hp to spin I have never rode a WR but i can tell you i have done some super tight single track with no problem .It is funny to see all the post of the new WR guys
changing things to make there WR run like a Cr If you really need a kick stand and lights then add them to a CR or pay much more for a WR I think it is cheaper to go CR
Also i get about 20 mpg at full race speed IMS makes a bigger tank if you need it just order it for the 2006 4 strokes it will fit the 2006 to 2008 CR 125 2 stroke

'07 WR125 has an OEM sparky. The same one that Husky has used since '02 (still used on '09 WR250-300). This unit won't fit '09 WR125, as frame and subframe have changed. Only North America uses spark arrestors and too few units sold here to gear up for a new one. Hopefully FMF unit for '09 will arrive soon.

You could put an OEM Husky sparky on an '08 and older CR125, but FMF is cheaper, lighter and less restrictive.

Rode my 09 WR125 today and am happy to report it will leave me very good running 04 CR125 with doma pipe for dead, top to bottom. I need to jet a slight flat spot in the mid though. Bottom is stronger but marginal as this IS a 125 but the top RIPS. I have ridden a 07 WR125 and was afraid i might be giving up the nice top end rush over my CR but this 09 WR125 has more hit on top and pulls longer.

Our '09 CR still has a bit of the mid flat spot. I'm anxious to see what changes you try and the results. So far, I've raised the needle a clip and it helped. I'm trying to find different needles for these new vintage TMX's but seem to be chasing my tail.
