I have a 1993 WR 250 that I have owned since new. Only recently I rode the bike after an extended period of storage. The first ride was fine, then on the second ride the bike stopped. No spark, removed the ignition cover, full of water. Removed flywheel, stator does not look good.

As luck would have it I have a near new stator/flywheel from the same year model WR 360. The parts all look identical ,including the flywheel, although the parts fiche list different part numbers for the 360 & 250 . Is anyone able to tell me if their is any problem fitting the 360 stator in the 250?

Do they visually look the same and the spline's line up? It may be that the WR250 is a lighter flywheel weight than the WR360?

Yes , they look identical. I weighed the flywheels and both weigh the same.
