    I always assumed the WR's had a DC generator but looking at the shop manual they seem to use the terms interchangeably. Page m.9 says use a VAC and the voltage should read >20-50< volts. The only reason I ask is that I want to order a lighting kit and don't know if I need the regulator/rectifier or can just use the stock regulator.

    It AC voltage. Just built some some high powered LED lighting for my 2010.

    I now run LED tail light & turn signals, only changed flash can. All appear to be working fine
