Ok, i got my new 300 this Friday. I looked in my instuction book and tried to find something about the switchable ignition that it is equipped with. How and where do i change it? Is there any bar mounted switch to put on it from Husqvarna?

Hello guys! Here i am! You're right. I've been iceracing with the CR 500. My son has been using my WR 300 on the ice for a few weeks now. All is good, but he has problem starting it, and it kicks back quite bad sometimes. Does anyone of you have the same issue? I was thinking of changing ignition timing a bit to get rid of this issue if there isn't any other solution to this. So, what do you say guys?

Mine did that when the pilot was too rich. The smaller pilot started easier but lost power off idle. I fixed it with a Lectron!

I recently put the Lectron on my 300. I tried to start it with the choke and it nearly snapped my foot in two! Then I shut the choke off and started it after few more kicks. Still seemed too rich. so I turned the metering rod out a turn. Hoping it will start okay with the choke, and less smokey and more crisp off the idle now. We'll see. Haven't gotten a chance to take it out and test ride it just yet.

Yup! Same thing. I'm 3/4 turn leaner and may need one more 1/4 turn. Rode up and down the street last night and off idle is amazing compared to the Mikuni. Maybe a little too amazing.

And Yup, pvduke! I was wearing my thin Puma sneakers. Hobbled back to my boots and put on the kicker boot.

I think i have a 45 pilot in it now, but it,s cold here and i had the same jetting last winter so i don't think it's a jetting thing. I think it's the Ducati ignition. I have the PWK 38 AS on it. My ported CR 500 is easier to start. I sit down on that one and give it a good kick and it comes alive.

Haha! What Am i weak, doing 150 kilos benchpress, 240 kilos deadlift! You gotta be kidding;=)! I,m 200 pounds, and this bike is way harder to start than my 2010 300 i had before. I'll have to check the timing on this one!
