250-500cc WR250/300 POWER LOSS FROM ENGINE TO REAR WHEEL

    Does anyone know the correct figures from the engine to rear wheel? What is the power loss? I punched out 42RWHP/26ftlb of torque from my 2008 WR250 on the dyno (used a road tyre/13-49t sprockets) seeking facts and figures

    Mate to put that figure in to perspective, a CR500 puts out around 56hp stock...do some pipe mods, 39 or 40mm pwk and port work then expect 65+hp.

    My WR360, apparently, only made around 34-38hp.

    Your stock 2007 YZ250 pops out around 47hp/30ftlb...but you are comparing a motocross bike to an enduro bike so how the power is delivered determines how 'useable' it is for your riding.


    Spend the money on suspension and more riding....unless you're desert racing.

    My dyno graph showed the same power curve as the 2010 WR300, with 4HP more from my 2008 WR250. The only mods I have is a DEP pipe, FMF TurbineCore2 tail pipe & JD jetting kit fitted to the standard TMX38.
    As an enduro bike, this bike is very user friendly.

    I'm not comparing motocross to enduro, just the question on what the power loss is through the drive line
