I took my sprocket in to a local auto parts store. You can match up the smallest diameter of the sprocket to a corresponding circlip. Obviously it sits at the end of the sprocket spline/teeth. I think around 3/4" I.D.

I can measure my circlip for you today, but it won't be until this evening US time. Is that fast enough?

In the short term, I bet you can use safety wire or a hose clamp to ride the bike.

Sorry dude, totally forgot last night.

If you measure the circlip off the bike, it should be about:

    ID: 23.4mm
    OD: 28mm
    Thk: 1.2mm

These are measured across the diameter in the "non-open" direction (ie perpendicular to where the split is).

A couple wraps of thicker (like 0.04" / 1mm) safety wire and a snug twist probably will work fine in the short term!
