I currently ride a tc250 and owned a wr250 previously and loved it but want to get back into enduro and race on a wr, is it a good bike for racing and what will it need to bring it up to a comfortable race weapon eg pipe ect

    My set up:
    IMS fuel tank
    5mm longer clutch actuator
    Motion Pro clutch cable
    Revalved/resprung forks
Shortened rear shock (1" lower seat height)
    Enduro Engineering skid plate
    Cycra Pro-Bend handguards
Handlebars cut down 1/2" on each side
Pro Circuit Works pipe and slip-on
Breather elbow in top of stator cover with hose running up under the tank with a breather filter and bottom of stator cover sealed off. (keeps water and mud out of stator)
Carb venturi lines run up into airbox with breather filters (keeps water out of carb)
Synergy delrin insert replacement for needle bearing in shock linkage (bearing has no lube zirc so it seizes up)
Poor man's Bib Mousse (4mm thick inner tubes)
KTM sidestand tether (you can make your own with a section of inntertube and some zip ties)
    Enduro engineering rear sharkfin/caliper mount
    Motosportz front brake disc guard
TC449 front number plate/fender (just for different looks) Bolts right on.
    Trailtech computer

I ride B Vet class in the ECEA series. Currently 8th in points. This is my first real race season since starting to ride dirt in 2004. The bike is working great. I had to lower it to make manuevering in the tight stuff a little easier since the bike is so tall from factory. Nothing drastic. About an inch lower than stock.

The two biggest things that I've done are total suspension revalve from a local tuner and add a Pirelli MT43 trials tire. After that it's the regular stuff like shark fin, cut down bars, bark busters, FMF silencer, MotionPro clutch cable, Air Bleeders on the forks ect... The motor and clutch are untouched on mine.
