Hello . sorry for my bad English language .
    1. I bought wr 300 2012 .
    2. 5 hours . +5 degrees of heat main jet 430 nidle 4 poz/ pilot 42 . went to the sand . the piston and the cylinder dead .
    3 . 15 hours .+13 degrees of heat. Enduro,basic training in the mountains,the speed of 100 km/h 1 minute . main jet 480 pilot 35 nidle poz.3 . piston and cylinder dead .
together with me always goes my son on the ktm exc300 2012 , no problems . gasoline same , oil castrol 2t racing 1/40 . why in ktm no problems and husqvarna it's not the bike , it's shit . husqvarna worse than the low-cost Chinese the motorcycle . it is not possible to eliminate the problem . clutch doesn't work well ( it is and this is due to the bad quality of the disc ) .
in the generator broke magnet ( I pasted by glue loctite )
the gear lever short , it is shorter than in any normal bike ( I have made from Chinese pit bike , he went perfect .
the rear brake lever - близак to the motor and far away ( I tipped him and changed )
    I've never had so many problems with one of the motorcycle . I have exc300 , yamaha wr450,txt280,drz400 , crf450x,but this shit as husqvarna wr300 2012 I haven't seen yet .
now I will the repair of the cylinder and the piston get rid of this terrible motorcycle . people don't buy it , it never will work well and you will curse the one who this bike has created .
thanks to those who adequately read it . and not will teach me . I-it-yourself mechanic and not bad and I can't do this stuff to bring to the normal condition . P3310048.JPG P3310050.JPG P3310053.JPG P3310048.JPG P3310050.JPG P3310048.JPG P3310050.JPG P3310053.JPG P3310053.JPG

Sorry for your bad luck. I'll let someone else with more experience discuss your engine problems. As with you, I am also disappointed with some quality issues especially the clutch, but still love it.

I have had my WR300 for a year and have experienced no problems with the engine. I made sure that it was jetted properly and used RTV sealant around the reed intake manifold. 30 tanks of gas through it and it still runs like a charm. I made sure that the clutch was adjusted properly and got a heavy duty Terminator clutch cable for it which solved most of the clutch drag issues. Sorry you had some bad luck with yours. Mine is a fine bike that I like much better than the KTM I had.

With the amount of Huskys out there today (tiny) compared to the major manufacturers, combined with the fact that we only pretty much talk ABOUT Huskys on this forum, its not surprising to find a few bad bikes on this particular forum. With that being said, I am curious if there are other contributing factors to this failure in which we readers are not privileged with.
Was this a new/left over 2012 or is it used?

Also, youre telling some hardcore Husky riders, primarily some of us who love our WR300s not to buy one. Thats some straight up nonsense.

Based on the photos, this looks like the first rebuild. After riding in sand and tearing down without brushing sand away from the open engine!

it is not after a trip to the sand . the presence of dust on the wheels will not save one dead engine .
your motorcycles probably go around the room ? .
    on the topic .
the intake tract in good order , the suction of air and there can not be .
2 stroke engine can jam by reason of a lean mixture . in lean combustion piston overheats and is a wedge . when жиклере 480 mixture still poor . oil in gasoline 40-1 30 - 1 1-1 does not matter . in these afflictions 3 reasons . 1 idiotic channels configuration of the cylinder . 2 the reason , idiotic carburetor mikuni 3 the cause of the stupid ignition ducati , on work of the engine there is a feeling too early ignition of fuel , when you release speed can hear the hard work (detonation).
and in General why buying a new motorcycle to engage in nonsense . search for the reasons why it made the left foot .
as I don't like the ktm,but it works and it is not bad . it also has problems but they can be eliminated .
and this is a photo of my wr300 . if the guy thinks that I pour sand in the cylinder and waste oil from the tractor and gasoline with a donkey urine , then he is wrong .

Is the bike competitive? Absolutely. But it's got a ways to go to go head-to-head with its competition in the quality department. Meanwhile, they are an absolute bargain when you can find one for $3800, and despite its shortcomings it would be foolish to pay twice as much for a KTM, in my opinion.
Yes . will praise wr for the fact that he is a little cheaper than new within a year is much more expensive than the old one .
we have wr 300 price of 9000 us
    exc 10000
I bought it not because it is cheaper and because I hoped that she is not worse than KTM exc300 which I have

I would look for air leak or carb issues too. Also people are too quick to cry over small issues if pupkins are so perfect at 8k then why does everyone drop a few grand on them right away? Everything needs personal touches. Not to get off topic.

these problems seem to happen to 300 and not 250 - so may be related to boring issues?
Ive found ktms to be unreliable - so I guess its just a question of luck
+ 1 - you should clean engine or you will have even more issues

My 09 300 probably has 2000 ish miles on it by now. Original piston, reliable as the sunrise. Always fires right up and almost takes my arms off with its power. Its so good that i couldnt ever entertain selling it.

Well....I'm afraid we can't help you then. It is some mysterious problem that the rest of us have somehow managed to avoid by following simple steps to insure that we don't have a "stupid, idiotic" engine. Sell the Husqvarna, stay with the KTM pumpkin and live happily everafter.:excuseme:

Doubt a lean mixture and even advanced IGN timing would cause the power valve bridge to crack like that.
That looks like a repetitive stress issue. did the piston seize? Did it hit the power valve?

A seizure or, maybe if detonation is real bad, then maybe hammered main or rod bearings...not cracks like that.

BTW my WR250 FBF woods cylinder developed the same bridge cracks at the same place after 4 years of hard racing. I had it welded a replated and it is now fine. The FBF cyl has the ports opened more than stock.

I think somthing may be wrong with the machining or casting of that cylinder.

Did you try a new cylinder, and did the same thing happen?

I read a lot on your and on other forums about the death of cylinder and piston . these people probably sold husqvarna , and therefore do not write here .
it is interesting to me was the opinion of the specialists , but as I understand they're not even on the factory-manufacturer of the Moto - into adult .
conclusion wr 300 this problem motorcycle with lousy Italian engine , to avoid surprises you need to buy 1 KEIHIN PWK 2 . CLUTCH DISCS,CABLE 3.CYLINDER,PISTON (CARRY IN A BACKPACK ) 4.IGNITION FLYWHEEL ,
