    I'm picking up my 300 tonight :D

Can everyone with a 300 post what aftermarket parts they
are using, and some reviews of those parts.

I've located a US vendor for mecasystems, but they are a bit pricey.

Skidplates, rad guards, and frame guards are going to be my first mods.

    Thanks

I'm using Motosportz skid plate, radiator guards and axle nut. All 3 components are great quality and installed perfectly. They have withstood some real abuse here in the PNW mountians.

My next Husky will also sport these items.

I also have the 7602 Racing carb filter kit. After continually seeing dirt in my carb I find this a 'must do' mod.

All I really need now is a pipe guard. After I get a new pipe, that is.

Flyin, Motosportz has some stuff as listed by PC. You can also try Halls and Taskys. Oh.. I am looking into the 300 myself so please give us a ride report asap, thanks, John

Radiator guards from Motosportz which are the best on the market IMO:

    Frame guards from Acerbis (discontinued):
Skid plate from Uptite (also fits WR 250), awesome piece of engineering and expertly crafted:

    Very nice!
Do those Motosportz rad guards have a rear brace?

Sorry, I should have said "mine" don't have the rear brace. Mine were actually sized for the 4 stroke bikes with the fans, hence the rear brace is omitted.

They are super strong regardless of rear brace or not. The embossed ridges are an engineered feature that make them very strong in side crush type impacts.

I can vouch for the strength of these units. Initially, I thought I needed one with a rear brace. When I felt how thick and sturdy these non-braced units were, I saw no need for the additional installation hassle and clutter of the rear brace. There are plenty of cheaper, thinner units available that are useless without a rear brace, but these Motosportz units are the real deal! MUCH higher quality than most others.

So what's the part number for the rad guards with the brace.
Any option for a black skidplate?

I saw the WR300 for the first time on Saturday. I sure wanted to take it home with me. Just reading this thread as part of my decision process with respect to aftermarket support. I Was wondering who makes a pipe guard? Does the silencer have an approved spark arrestor?

I got a P3 CF pipe guard through Eric Pirie:

    http://pirieperfprod.com/p32strokepipeguard.html

A bit pricey but very thick and durable-looking.

And yes, mine came with a big ol' Krizman Turbine Core S/A silencer
very similar to the one on my old '03 KTM 300 EXC.

Is the spark arrestor USFS approved? If so, it's not stamped on the can.
    At least mine's not.
